Include the app version (Settings → About) and, for a draft problem, an export of the league
(Settings → Data → Export league) if you are comfortable sharing it. Exports contain only what
you entered — league settings, picks, your preference answers — never anything about you.
Frequently asked questions
- Does Green18 work offline?
- Yes. Every player, projection and rule the app needs ships inside the app, so it runs fully in airplane mode — including on draft day. Being online only lets it pick up a newer copy of the shared player data (see below).
- Do I need an account?
- No. There is no sign-in, no account and nothing to create. The app has no idea who you are.
- Where does my data live?
- On your iPhone, in the app's own storage: your leagues, each draft's pick-by-pick log and queue, your draft-philosophy answers, and your appearance preference. Green18 never uploads any of it. If you use iCloud Backup or back up to a computer, iOS may include the app's data in that backup under Apple's terms. Settings → Data → Delete all local data removes everything; so does uninstalling. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what is stored and where.
- How do I export or import a league?
- Export: Settings → Data → Export league writes the league (settings, draft log, preferences) to a JSON file and opens the iOS share sheet — save it to Files, AirDrop it, or send it wherever you like. Import: Settings → Data → Import league, then pick a Green18 export file. This is how you move a league to a new phone or share a set-up with a co-manager.
- How is the shared player data refreshed?
- When the app is online it may ask Green18's server for a newer copy of the shared football data — player status, injuries, depth charts, projections, schedule. That request is anonymous: it asks for the same file everyone gets and carries nothing about you or your league — no account, no identifier, no cookies. If the request fails or you are offline, the app keeps using the copy it already has. The data is compiled from open sources (the nflverse community, CC-BY 4.0); the credits are under Settings → Data sources.
- How do I report a data error?
- Email manager@green18.app with the player, what the app shows, what you believe is correct, and a link to a public source (a team announcement, the official NFL injury report, a beat report). Availability facts in Green18 come from the official reports; when a fact is public before it reaches those reports, we can publish a dated, source-cited editorial note that is delivered through the same anonymous refresh and shown in the app as a hollow badge marked "editorial note, not an official designation". Editorial notes expire on their own once the official report catches up, so a correction never outlives its source.
